Solid Color
Clean, seamless single-color floors — the commercial classic for shops, showrooms, and minimalist garages.
What it is
A solid color coating is the cleanest look in concrete: one uniform, seamless color across the entire floor with a subtle sheen. It is the standard for commercial shops, warehouses, and showrooms, and increasingly popular in home garages for a crisp, minimalist aesthetic — light gray and pure white are our most requested colors because of how dramatically they brighten a space.
Solid color floors are installed as a pigmented base coat plus a clear or pigmented topcoat, in either epoxy or polyaspartic chemistry depending on your timeline and sun exposure. Without flake to add texture, we pay extra attention to slip resistance: a measured anti-slip additive goes into the topcoat, tuned to how you use the space.
Keep in mind that a solid floor shows what a flake floor hides — dust, leaves, and tire marks are more visible on a uniform surface. Many customers consider that a feature: you can see exactly when the floor needs a quick blow-out, and cleaning is effortless on the sealed surface.
Where it's best
- Commercial shops, showrooms, and warehouses
- Home gyms and workshops wanting a bright, clean backdrop
- Minimalist garage designs (matte gray, white, or custom colors)
- Line-striping and zone marking — stripes read best on solid floors
How we install it
Solid Color goes down in four stages, always in this order, and each one gets the cure time the manufacturer specifies rather than the time a schedule would prefer. Compressing or skipping a stage is the single most common reason a coating fails early, so the sequence below is the job — not a summary of it.
-
Grind and repair
Diamond grinding to a uniform profile; joints and cracks treated so they telegraph as little as possible through the smooth finish.
-
Pigmented base coat
A high-build pigmented coat establishes the color. Light colors may take a second coat for perfect uniformity.
-
Optional striping
Walkways, parking zones, or safety lines are masked and coated in a contrasting color.
-
Clear wear coat
A clear topcoat with anti-slip additive carries the wear so the color coat underneath stays perfect.
